*** CDX-D8 ASIO Driver Installation Instructions ***

To install or update the CDX-D8 ASIO driver:

ATTENTION: Before installing the CDX-D8 ASIO driver, you must first install
the CDX-D8 device driver software. Please see the CDX-D8
           Instruction Manual for further information.

1. Open a Windows Explorer window and browse into the ASIO subdirectory on your
CDX-D8 Driver Installation disk. If you downloaded the CDX-D8 drivers, browse
into the ASIO subdirectory in the directory where you unzipped the driver files.

2. Right-click on the file "cdxd8a.inf", and select "Install".

3. Wait for Windows to install the driver files on your computer.
If you see a "Confirm File Replace" window that says, "The target file exists
and is newer than the source. Overwrite the newer file?", click "No" to keep
the file currently installed on your computer. This is not an error; it simply
means that you already have a more up-to-date version of one of the installed
   files on your computer.

*** Release notes ***

Known issues with this release:
   none at this time

Known issues with old versions of Cubase VST and Cubase VST/24:
1. If you do not have a MIDI card, you will want to use Cubase VST or Cubase VST/24
version 3.65 or later, since some earlier versions have a bug that prevents audio
playback from starting when no MIDI cards are present.
